A world-class cultural education for every child and young person

What We Do

Birmingham Creates' vision is to provide a world-class cultural education for every child and young person in the city. We do this by working in partnership with leaders, influencers and thinkers in this field and work on initiatives to make a difference and foster new cross-sector collaborations.

This includes:

  • Actively assisting with the development and design of a suite of cultural education projects

  • Piloting or developing local targeted projects with impact and legacy

  • Working with the sector to develop the talent pipeline through education and placements

  • Engaging with young people on what they and need and want from cultural education

Birmingham Creates is the name for the Birmingham Cultural Education Partnership (CEP).

Our work focuses on creating greater equality of cultural opportunity for children and young people.

Our members are from diverse areas of the cultural and educational sector and include; dance, theatre, arts, higher education, primary education, music hubs and business.
